Blogapalooza 2015

October 25, 2015 – What is Blogapalooza?

Blogapalooza is a community of Bloggers and Online Influencers wanting to feature and connect with Businesses

Blogapalooza started in 2011 with an annual Blogapalooza event that run for a day. It was an invite only event that only Bloggers and Businesses can attend. The rule was simple, Businesses present their products / services and build relationships with the Bloggers, while Bloggers get to see what’s new and network with Businesses to make deals happen.

To be honest, I don’t know that this kind of event where bloggers and businesses meet exists. I just found it out lately when Mam Kristalyn told me about it. So anyway, here’s what happened on my very first Blogapalooza Experience!

Well at first, I was really contemplating whether to go or not but since I’ve read so many positive comments and blog posts about the past blogapalooza event so why not give it a try, right? I was thankful my boyfriend was with me or else I wouldn’t have gone there in the first place.

Fruit Tea long queue (photobooth/on the spot caricature). Sad that I wasn’t able to try visit this booth.

THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY! Photos with the band Kamikazee. ♡ Look at my huge smiles! Was also feeling too awkward during this time since a lot of people (in queues) were watching. Thanks JB Music for making this happen.

These are the only decent shots Asis took during the event. So, that’s pretty much about it. Good thing we arrived at the venue around 2ish pm where there were only few bloggers and guests milling about. I was actually expecting more but it still turned out okay, nonetheless. I also got lots of freebies, discount cards and flyers/brochures. It was a fun event and being with the boyf made it even more special. *cheesy, i know* It was just sad that I didn’t get to meet any bloggers my age. Oh well, maybe next time? :)

Around 4pm we decided to leave and since we didn’t want to be stuck during rush hour we decided to eat somewhere near our place and we chose Lola Ote in Sct. Esguerra near ABS-CBN. I’ve read a lot of positive comments about their BBQs & Isaws so we both agreed to try there.

Thank goodness, we decided to eat here. Their bbq and isaws taste great! Very delish at a very affordable price. Will surely eat here next time! Want to try their Liempo, sisig and chicharon Bulaklak. *pampasakit ng batok* HAHA! & yes, their idea to hang the isaw/bbq was really clever. Galing.

The only decent photo of us together. Both looking worn out because of the scorching heat.

All in all, it was definitely a (Sun)day well spent with my other half <3

Birthday Celebrations

SUPER LATE BLOG POST
February 14-15, 2015 – Celebrated Kaye’s birthday at Piña Colina Resort in Tagaytay with her family and us, her bffs. The weather was bad that day. It was raining non-stop but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. It was K’s birthday, we needed to have more fun than usual. So yes, we took lots of groupies, laughed our hearts out about anything or nothing in particular, drank coffee to keep us warm and we drank wine before midnight and paired it with grilled cheese and crackers (grown-ups & sosyal daw kuno) and went to Rue Bourbon in Sky Ranch after to celebrate some more (with “kind of“ under supervision of K’s cool dad. haha! jk). In the morning, we roamed around the resort. They were supposed to swim but ‘twas too cold for their liking so nah. Had our breakfast at the resort’s “The Dining Room”, then we went to the playground and played on the trampoline. It was crazy! That thing brought out the inner child in us. We went to Sky Ranch again but now with the whole family to make our stay more worthwhile. But the place was too jam-packed when we got there, all the long queues and the people celebrating their Valentines/Family day here and there.. and geez man, the traffic was crazy so we just went home instead. All in all, was so happy to be a part of K’s special day. Kbtch, labyu. kristina-kay ❤️

April 16, 2015 – I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty-two! Just celebrated my day with my family at Sambo kojin. That’s it.

April 17, 2015 – Went on a date with Asis at Maginhawa. But before that he gave me a bouquet and my favorite red velvet cupcakes as my “Birthday cake” and yes the mere sight of him all dressed up (looking so adorably handsome) holding my bouquet and my box of cupcakes definitely made my day. And finally my family met him. Kilig all over. (‘∀’●)♡

April 18-19, 2015 – My post birthday celebration with my bffs + the guys (highschool friends — trupa) at Dodong’s grandparents place in Tagaytay. Arrived there around 8ish pm due to the traffic and when we got there Dodong the chef had already cooked our dinner. Then we went on a road trip, went to Antiques bar and played beerpong, played Monopoly (that game will definitely ruin friendships. lol) and we went to Taal Vista Hotel the next day to kill time and to take groupies and of course, the photo of the Taal Volcano. Everything was okay except for the scorching heat and for my tummy acting up (farting every now & then and in my sleep. It was all sb green tea’s fault or maybe my fault for being a glutton.). H8d it. ヾ( ・`⌓´・)ノ゙ To sum it up, I enjoyed my post bday celebration with them. Thanks for the gifts and for that mini “yema cake” surprise. Ha-ha! Really enjoyed it esp. our road trips while singing our hearts out. (^▽^)

December 2014 and life back then

Life mostly consisted of spending way too much money in expensive coffee shops and going here & there with my fam bam. Nothing special happened. Christmas and New Year came and went by like a blur. Everything felt different but I still tried to enjoy my days off work.

It was a tough year. A lot happened and it all happened so fast I didn’t expect it. I lost weight. I’ve been stressed and depressed which causes my Psoriasis to flare up. All these ups and downs. The pain and suffering I had to go through. Yes, there were happy moments, lots of them, but the pain was just too much. It is sometimes scary and terrifying to have too much happiness, because you’ll never know how long does it last. I’m still grateful though to have those people who were there for me in my times of need and I know God wouldn’t give me anything I can’t handle. I’m stronger than I think. Gotta be an Optimist Prime and not a Negatron. Still blessed.
